Abstract
In 1984 the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) commissioned the flying and acquisition of Thematic Scanner data over 46 individual areas of the United Kingdom where ground research projects were being carried out by university and NERC units. The aircraft used was the Piper PA31 Navajo Chieftain Aircraft. The project report describes the field operations and equipment in detail for each flight.
