Abstract
In 1982 the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) commissioned the flying and acquisition of Thematic Scanner data over 18 selected areas of the United Kingdom where ground research projects were being carried out by university and NERC units. The aircraft used was the Scottish Aviation Twin Pioneer, under contract to Hunting Geology and Geophysics Ltd. The project report describes the field operations and equipment in detail for each flight.
